Some projects don’t just build spaces—they build the foundation of a studio.

When I started Kyrah Design Studio five years ago, one of the very first projects we undertook was a home at Nambiar Bellezea. As a young studio, it felt like an incredibly meaningful opportunity. I remember feeling strongly that the home was meant to feel deeply rooted in traditional design, something that celebrated the richness of Indian craftsmanship and architectural language.

A 5,000 Sq Ft Canvas

The 5,000 sq ft villa became a sprawling canvas for that vision. We chose to push the boundaries of custom detailing, blending scale with intimacy:

  • Solid Wood Panelling: Employed extensively to add depth and warmth to the architectural skeleton.
  • Hand-Carved Detailing: Sourced and executed meticulously to keep the language authentic.
  • Antiques: Handpicked from across the country to bring structural history into a modern home.
  • Teak Columns: Designed 12-foot custom teak columns that anchored the entire layout.

Every single room of this 5BHK carried small, personally designed details that came together to shape the character and narrative of the home.

Looking Back

Looking back now, that project holds a special place in my heart. It was one of the definitive moments where I truly felt the structural identity of Kyrah beginning to take shape. Even today, when I think about our early journey, this home is one of the projects that stands out the most.
